Inverness

After visiting Nessie, we got a cab back to the city of Inverness where we were staying. First, we stopped for lunch at an Indian restaurant. Then we walked around a little. Inverness is a really beautiful city on the River Ness. It even had a beautiful castle along the river. We thought it was really pretty, but the girls got tired of walking rather quickly. Lollipops and a few books on Nessie and Greyfriars Bobby seemed to make them happier.

Poor Claire can only handle so much walking around with no afternoon nap. So, we headed back to the hotel before Cole and Cindy were really ready to stop viewing the city. Our cab driver told us about a really fun indoor play area not too far from our hotel. So, while Claire napped, Cole packed the big girls in the stroller and they had a lot of fun! There was another zip line, a miniature (or "wee") rock wall, super slides, and more! The girls (and Cole) had A LOT of fun. When they got back, Dani told me, "Daddy even went on the slide! But, he had to stop so that he didn't break the slide."

They had a blast at that play area! (And, I don't think Cole could have broken *that* slide!) Katie's already asked to return to Nessie's city in order to play there again. The cultural experience that we were hoping to give them is a bit lost on 1, 3, and 5 year olds. Oh well. At least we're all having fun!
